My dd is 5ft 10.
We were also worried height wise, but got 3 DaDA offers when she auditioned 2 years ago.

Re: Grants/Burseries

My dd is at Laines and her living expenses are far in excess of £7000, nearer £10,000! Going to be more next year

Re: September 2015

Cast B too Sue. That's lucky. Was in cast A for the 'short number' but managed to swap with her double. We are going both Saturday shows so probably see you there x

Laine show in 3 weeks and getting quite excited already, bet you are too Sue? Let us know how it goes K...

Re: September 2015

Exact same thing happened to Dd two years ago. My dd was also on Urdang foundation. Urdang understood and didn't stop her from going but Bodyworks were contacted and told and they whizzed them (there were 3 of them) through audition. I think they were back on the train to London by 1pm!

Re: Dancer but not so much a singer!

Singing...hated it, wouldn't sing in front of anyone, refused lessons until she realised if she wanted to get into college she would have to start. Did Urdang foundation which gave her a little more confidence but still...

Re: September 2015

Stella Mann is around 20 mins to half hour from Milton Keynes HUGE shopping centre, worth a visit.

Its funny how the kids have their preferences, my dd really didnt like Stella Mann and left before solos. They still offered her a place but she wouldn't go back for the funding audition :(

Funnily enough, I asked dd about this last week. I paid a fortune for Laine uniform and she said some of it is still in the plastic.......

The 3 year diploma is a level 6 so yes its advanced/degree level. So therefore CB stops (also tax credits)
