Re: WEK vs Urdang (Saturday/Sunday School)

Can't speak for Urdang (as their course is new and may be more challenging now than it used to be when DD attended). WEK is demanding, focusses on musical theatre and requires considerable home practice during the week - all aspects of performance are taught and appraised in writing termly and incl...

Depends on what style of dance, etc that your child prefers. If it were for my child, I'd choose Urdang but others will be different.

Re: Good associate programmes

Hi Loueeze If you're in kent and can get to London easily then you are spoilt for choice really. Woodside Dance Retreat is in Kent and is focused on ballet but London ones would be... Ballet - RBS, Central School of Ballet associates, English national ballet juniors, Cecchetti Associates, South Eas...

Good associate programmes

Hello,

Can anyone recommend some good associate programmes for my ten year old daughter (year 5). Any discipline :)

I know of the Royal Ballet and just seen one by Ballet Boost.

Any to avoid?

Re: Full time training 11-16... Italia Conti, Sylvia Young

We have some good schools where we are and aren't too far from London. A little bit off yet though - she's going into yea...

Sass in Dance

So, something which I find uncomfortable is little girls giving the sass in their dances. It's all very popular on Dance Moms and is creeping into lots of festivals and the younger girls. Some choreography is very sexualised at times and it depends on the adjudicators whether its a big no or they lo...
