Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

East 15 offers a Foundation course with Student Finance. From what I understand, since SF offers 4 years of funding, it is done using one of those years... I heard of it last week and at first, I was very sceptical but apparently that's what is done there. I don't know if it's new... PS My daughter ...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

DD finished her round of 8 auditions yesterday with East15! Phew! It's been a long year! She's actually not waiting for their answer and decided to go for the offer she has from Rose Bruford because she really liked the school. It does feel good to finally have a decision and to be able to start org...

4 years ago, when DD1 got an offer, I think it was in June. It might have changed since though.

Definitely! Hence the trying to find a drama or dance school that offers a degree... Well done to Laines, LSC and a few others for offering both a diploma and a degree!

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

In short, if it's your first degree, you qualify. If you already have a diploma, you still qualify. That's what I understand.

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

Ok here's a question then. If DS does the diploma at 16 or 17 with DaDA funding (he won't be able to do it without funding!!) could he then get full Government funding for a degree (maybe not in Performng Arts) in the future? I've looked at the gov.uk website and I'm none the wiser!! I believe so y...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

Totally agree with islandofsodor! Drama Schools that allow under 18 to audition are RWCMD (Cardiff), E15, the Royal Conservatoire of Birmingham, RCS, Central, Guildhall, GSA, Rose Bruford, Drama Centre (Central St Martins) and Manchester School of Theatre. In all these schools, you must have a level...

Re: Auditioning for Sept 2019

No, you have to have finished secondary school, i.e. with A'levels or equivalent. Our 3 DDs went on to do a BA Hons before they were 18.
