Re: Emil Dale academy and Bodem performing arts college
I had a look at the dance styles and didn't see Ballet, but am going to email them and ask.woody wrote:It would be pretty unusual for a performing arts college to not do ballet at all, have you checked with them?

Re: Emil Dale academy and Bodem performing arts college
I would definitely go and have a look around EDA, get a feel for it and chat to the team. They are very supportive and passionate about everything they do. I think they offer free taster days regularly, I'd try to get to one. She is going along on Saturday for a taster day, so will get her to ask l...

Emil Dale academy and Bodem performing arts college
We have been currently looking at both of these for Sept 2017, I was just wondering if anyone has been to any of them and can advice on how good they are. We loved the sound of Emil Dale because they offer Ballet and she has never done Ballet before but its a fee paying school which she would only b...

thanks for the reply. I was speaking to one of the teachers at my school and she said to apply then worry about the school permission if she gets through to the auditions. I have a meeting at the new school tomorrow, so fingers crossed for some good news.

Re: Fort Boyard auditions?
Megan really wants to apply for this but unsure because it asks for school permission. As we all know her school will not allow it. I have handed in application form for new school fingers crossed they have a place. Just wondering if the licence is not issued at local authority then do you think its...

Re: permission refused. is head mistress being unreasonable?
I have just noticed this post. Sorry to hear what you are having to go through. My daughter attends a school with a performing arts status and they still refused to give her permission to appear in a show at the National Theatre, lucky for us the lea did overturn the decision and issued the licence ...

Re: music for audition
Thanks Deb,
We found and downloaded a programme and all was good then when we saved it there was a voice note throughout the recording. I then went back to google and saw that Audacity had been recommened, so that is the one we used, I didn't have a clue had to ask Megan to do it for me lol

Re: music for audition
Thankyou :D It was a long day for her we got there at 9:15am and didn't leave till 6pm. She chose stay by Rhianna to sing because it really suited her voice, wrote her own monologue and Choreographed a dance.
