Re: NYT audition pieces

They are in Cardiff (and I think also somewhere like Hereford near the Welsh border?) but maybe they're fully booked now. You could drop them an email to see if any spaces become available? And sometimes they introduce more dates if there's a demand.

Re: DaDa Funding for 2013-14

I don't think the final details have been decided yet, the details below talk about offering support for both "fees and maintenance". Schools who wish to offer DADAs for their Diplomas (Acting, MT, or Dance) are going through a process where they have to apply to be on the "Approved S...

Re: Agencies for Child Acting Only

Child actors in TV dramas aren't particularly well paid unless they're established names (and by virtue of their age most are relative newcomers) - I don't think many agencies could survive by purely representing young children for TV and film roles (although I could be wrong but I'm not aware of an...

Re: An Inspector Calls Audition advice

My dd did this a few years ago. They are looking for very natural children who can take direction. The audition was just a fun workshop. It's the version of the play that Stephen Daldry created. The children (three boys and a girl when she did it) aren't related to the main cast and are non-speaking...

From what I've read, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Glasgow (formerly RSAMD) is one of the few that allows/actively encourages professional work.

More details in Baz's column in the Mail in a interview with Hugh Jackman, it's definitely a musical: Tom Hooper’s version of the musical Les Miserables, begins shooting in March, with plans to rehearse in the capital in January and February. Re: What websites do Agents use?

Yes, I've always understood it to be standard industry practice for agents to be paid commission even if you source the job yourself; ultimately all negotiations and payments should be handled through your agent.

Re: what is wrong with people

Is there an option to disable embedding images in a post in phpBB? It's not something that's used very often by members, and they can always post a link to a photo (which then everyone has the choice of whether or not to click on it!).
