Hertfordshire Educational Fund

Hi, Just posting this in case it is of any help for Hertfordshire people. My DD got funding from this organization last year and it paid for her part-time drama training for a year. The next round of applications have to be received by 10 May I think. https://www.youthconnexions-hertfordshire.org/ab...

Re: Brit school reserve list - pls HELP

Hi,

There is also the Purcell School of Music, North London/Hertfordshire. We have been to presentations / concerts there when my DD was in the County Youth Contemporary dance group.

Re: Guildhall Junior Department - Drama

Hi TalyaB

My DD has been at Junior Guildhall 4 years and Mountview (Monday) Young Actors 2 years. If you have any specific questions you can PM me.

Sorry I haven't been on here for a couple of days so have only just seen your post.

Re: Auditioning for 2016

Thanks for the replies. Yes, obviously they have to be ready. Nearly had all the auditions now. DD has had other plans in her mind too so hopefully will get a job if she doesn't get any offers and then try again next year, a bit older and a bit wiser hopefully.

Re: Auditioning for 2016

I was wondering because DC can apply for auditions anytime between October and late February for drama school and it seems in my DD's group of friends, the ones that had their auditions before Christmas got more recalls than the ones who applied later? Anyone else think the same?

Re: Auditioning for 2016

Have you got a 16-24 Railcard for your DC? My DD has saved loads of money with hers.

Hi JayLou62,

Thank you and good luck for your DD too. Has she auditioned elsewhere? Is she looking for drama or MT?

Re: Auditioning for 2016

Hi,

Has anyone got drama auditions coming up for their DC? DD has six lined up for Jan/Feb and so I'm hoping that she gets off to a good start ... She's feeling quite stressed because of school as well.
