Can anyone think of any plays like birdsong? A period setting but not archaic text. With some young early 20s age characters

They are no longer asking for submissions, it closed on the 28th so there isn't much point asking agents to suggest you at this point. I asked the original question as I assumed thy would be calling people in by now

I have become completely obsessed with Poldark and cannot wait until series 2!!! Does anyone know if it has started casting yet? I'm not even looking to get a part myself I am just excited at finding out what new characters are cast

It's for a short film. They have asked for a short monologue to camera. I want to do something as close as possible to the era but I think that most people will automatically turn to Pride and Prejudice or Sense and Sensibility etc. I would like to do something fun and feisty that isn't Elizabeth Be...

Yes, I have been looking through the books I already have, I was just wondering if anyone knew of a piece that wasn't quite so well known. There are a couple from Pride and Prejudice I could use but I'm slightly wary of it seeming dull because it is such a popular choice

Hello!! I am wondering if anyone knows of any young(ish) female monologues set in the late 1700s to early 1800s? Possibly something from Jane Austen but less well known would be preferable.
