Re: The Degrees that earn the most
Acting, for the many, may not pay well but to get paid for something you love give you a far better quality of life. My degree is in Law but I turned my back on it when the 18 hour days turned my idea of a dream job into the reality of a nightmare. I now earn a tiny fraction of what I should have be...

Re: Stage School
Watched this for the first time last night. Its bloody awful. Its all about the power and influence of the "teachers" over students being portrayed as bitchy, naïve and stupid. The students no doubt have talent but its like the "teachers" try to supress it for their own ego trip....

Re: Les Miserables TV series
On Spotlight it is "anonymous" but it is a BBC production so it will be jobs for the usual names and friends - co-produced by The Weinstein Company...erm...wonder if that will have an effect on timing

Re: Child Licence petition
A new one for us this year has been the introduction of fees (£30) for fast-tracking an application if required before the 21 day standard. As we all know, that's nearly all of them.

Anyone been to a Beverley Keogh Casting?
DD has a casting in Manchester for Beverley Keogh. Her agent says it is in the form of a workshop. Can anyone tell me how Ms Keogh runs her workshops and what format they take? Many thanks.

Re: kids casting pro
Do their agents not find enough auditions? DD is only on KCCP because she does not have an agent. I am hoping that when she gets one, they will find the work for her. Thats my theory anyway. Am I off the mark somewhat?

Tamara Drewe
I know its an oldie but I only saw it last week. Not one for younger kids there is a bit of fruity language but one of the best films I have seen recently. Very English humour. The star of the show is Jessica Barden who plays a 15 year old tearaway. Dont want to spoil it but the plot is clever and h...

Re: What is tax deductable for child earnings
Thank you that makes it clear - keep all income/expenditure for any given year and present them - just expect that some expenditure will be rejected that are not allowable within the law. Just need to keep fingers crossed for a paying job now!

What is tax deductable for child earnings
Hello all, Hypothetically, if our child earns £10,000 in a year, she has a tax threshold of £5000 biut what else is tax deductable. I guess travel, accomodation and incidental expenses, but (and here is what I want to know) can the cost of training courses (eg drama, LAMDA, music lessons) be deducta...
