Re: auditions monologue

Have a look at a play called Emilia by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm’s which was performed at the Globe theatre last year. Its full of rousing feminist speeches. Actually all 3 of her plays have some great feminist speeches.

Re: Pressure Pit Gameshow warning

Thankfully you were supervising! There are some dreadful lowlifes around and this business seems to attract a fair few. A good warning for others to be careful as well and I do hope your daughter is OK?

Re: Asking for small donations after all these years.

Thanks all who have donated so far. The combination of running and the drugs I have now started are making for some very interesting hot flushes and tummy problems but I am heartened to see the donations rising. Such a strange thing to find myself in this position at my age so giving back to a chari...

Girl aged 4/5/6 playing 4 and boy 6/7 playing 6

New casting opportunity: I am currently casting the Child Actor parts on the new tv series ALABAMA ALABAMA - "You have to pass a test to drive a car, but they’ll let any idiot be a parent. Nobody stops you before you have a child and makes you go through a rigorous screening process to see if you’re...

Re: Rates of Pay

Rates do vary. A commercial is usually a day rate of between £150 and £500 per day plus a buy-out but younger children are often less. Children in the UK don't get residuals (repeat fees). The buy-out will depend on usage so a TV advert will get more than an internet advert as an example and across ...

Re: Braces

We faced this issue a few years ago, and took the view that long-term healthy and straight teeth were more important than any job. Ironically as teenagers' braces are so common now that they are sometimes requested in jobs. That being said they can affect speech for a few weeks as they adjust to the...

Good on her. What a great experience and how lucky are you both to have such a supportive school.
