Fuji11547 wrote: Tue Apr 09, 2019 1:05 pm Hello all. Do you know if Summer workshops auditions results have been emailed? My DS auditioned for the first time this year. I am wondering how long does it usually take BTA to reply. Thank you!
What did your DS audition for? My DS had a recall for Dogfight. He hasn’t heard anything as yet.

Re: lcm

Hey there, My DS is at LCM and absolutely loves it. It suits him as he mainly an actor/singer. The above comments are right there is not much dance content on the course but it was just what he wanted. Yes some students start on the foundation year and there is nothing to stop you moving somewhere e...

Re: Fully funded BA MT Sept 2020 - Advice sought

Hey there, I completely understand your situation. We could not afford any where like Arts Ed or Mountview either. DD went to GSA to do a BA in MT. its funded by student finance so a very good option financially and it’s in lovely surroundings - it’s very highly competitive to get in though so she w...

Re: GSA Musical Theatre - info needed!

My DD graduated from GSA last year and there were 38 in her year. And yes as others have said it is long hours and an intensive course as you would expect from a drama school.

Re: What's on Stage article

Also London College of Music was missed. I know its not one of the big schools but more well known than some of those mentioned. Although I suppose everyone has a different idea of what's "well known". I guess I get mine from reading this forum and Twitter (and that depends on who you foll...

Re: London college of music

Thank you bop2thetop. That's really helpful. DS is also a strong singer/actor and so far with Nos from arts ed and mountview we were looking at options and came across LCM. DS also auditioning at GSA but doesn't have the grades so not hopeful Ah good luck to your DS Live the Dream. Hope he gets in ...

Re: London college of music

Hi all My dd is in final year at LCM and she'd thoroughly recommend it. They have just had their showcase at Soho Theatre so difficult to say how successful everyone will be with agents. There were plenty there and I know some people have several offers already. It's a fairly new course and definite...

Re: London college of music

Hi LiveTheDream, My DS goes to LCM. He's in the first year of the 3 year Degree course. Hes really enjoying it so far. He says the teachers are really good and he loves his lessons. Hes more of an actor singer than a dancer and although they do do dance i think the course is weighted more to actor ...

Re: London college of music

Missed this one too. Why is / has it been so under the radar for MT? Maybe its a bit under the radar on this site because its not really the best course for dancers. Im not sure. But from what i can see on social media etc it is well known, but that might be because of who i follow. Sorry i should ...

Re: London college of music

Im all over this! Just gotta convince DS to apply now  I would highly recommend it as an alternative to Arts Ed, Mountview or GSA if you don’t have the funds for those places or grades in the case of GSA. Just so you know at LCM there’s a choice of 2 Musical theatre courses:- A 4 year Degree c...

Re: BA / Foundation MT courses Sept 18

Hi Chivers, yes you’re right the LCM foundation course is very different . It is supposed to be a feeder course for the 3 year degree. On UCAS you can either apply for the 4 year course (which includes a foundation year) or if you have the grades you can apply to go straight on to the 3 year degree...

In case its of interest to anyone London College of Music / LCM do a Musical Theatre Foundation Year which is funded by Student Finance. Most of the foundation students carry on to do the 3 year Degree there too.
