Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put results
DD1 has also just graduated from Bird with a first class honours degree! The three years have flown by so quickly and I can't believe it is over! I did love the show- the theme was more to my taste this year. Some of the graduates have gone on to amazing opportunities whilst many of the others have ...

Re: Urdang Accommodation
DD2 is starting at Urdang in September and has just been offered a place at Chester House. Although it's not cheap you do get a discount when you are not occupying the room in the holidays and you only pay from the start of term in Sept to the end of term in July. Other places seem to only be from m...

Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put result
DD has turned down her degree place at Urdang
so someone on the waiting list should get some good news soon
It was a very hard decision to make but she decided Bird suited her better.

Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put result
alwood020 - both DD and her friend auditioned on Sunday 30th March. carriecrafts - she is leaning towards Bird at the moment; at the start of the process Urdang was her favourite, but going through the audition process has changed her opinions. Being offered a degree place on the day of the audition...

Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put result
Alwood020 - one of DD's friends has heard she has got a fee reduction for the Diploma course - she wasn't entitled to a DADa. I think she received a letter like us rather than an e-mail.

Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put result
DD received her letter from Urdang today offering her the degree course and the £3000 bursary ( to bring the fees down to £9000)! Now she has to decide between Urdang and Bird like your DD Carriecrafts.

Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put result
At the audition Louis from Bird said their course was funded by student loans, same as any other degree course.
I feel Urdang should be more transparent over the process and the fees charged.

Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put result
DD1 has been offered a recall for degree / diploma place at Urdang. She needs a degree place as we don't qualify for a DADa but it costs £75 for the bursary audition (the bursary is to pay the additional £3000 of fees they didn't tell us about as the fees are £12k). Nowhere does it mention you have ...

Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put result
Good luck to everyone who is still auditioning! DD1 has now been offered a place at Performers and on Saturday was offered a degree course place at Bird on the day! This means she can actually go to study MT as we fall outside the boundaries for a DADa and can't afford the Laines fees of £16k a year...

Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put result
Yes, DD auditioned last Monday. Her friends who auditioned Tuesday and Wednesday have been offered a place too. I wouldn't give up Katymac; my DD auditioned 2 years ago and was offered places at Millennium and Performers (but no DADa), foundation at Laines and Bird and rejected by Urdang. She decide...

Re: Is there any funding available for foundtion course?
A college local to us in Berkshire, which only offers Foundation courses in MT and Acting, has bursaries and last year had 2 scholarships from The Stage - Read Dance and Theatre College.
