Re: Home Education and Child Performance Licences

Hi Roo, Have been Home schooling my children for close to a year now and my D does get the odd TV part and we have never had any problem with getting a license - in fact it often goes smoother with no head teacher to chase for a signature. Like you we were really daunted when we started and had an L...

Re: Rude Casting Director

Thanks Katmandu - good to hear that you have had only good experiences - perhaps we have just seen the wrong casting directors. We live in hope. Re what you say about feedback I still don't think in these days of automated e-mail that there is any excuse for not getting back to people who give their...

Re: Rude Casting Director

Thanks Alibozo - don't worry about the PM - just glad you got back to me as sometimes it can feel as if you are the only one being treated this way but if we start talking more we find out how common it is. I'm at the point where I have just about had enough of the huge egos of some casting director...

Re: Rude Casting Director

I know that happens a lot and it seems so very wrong - why hold a huge casting and then go for the name they always wanted in the first place. we had this a couple of years back - my D got very close but later we found out they were always going to cast in the US. Sometimes I think it is all to gene...

Re: Rude Casting Director

Hi JTB Mum, Am so sorry you had such a horrible experience - and that is the right word to use - horrible - because there is absolutely no defence for treating a child in that way, or anyone for that matter. You may want to scroll down this board and see the thread on recalls where you'll notice you...

Re: re castings and callbacks/recalls

Am so glad you are posting as, although there are some CDs out there with manners and respect for all those who attend auditions, there are still far too many out there who don't. It is shocking to read about the treatment some of you have experienced and hope you made a complaint, otherwise change ...

Re: re castings and callbacks/recalls

I'm so glad about these postings as feel it is outrageous the way children are treated by casting directors. My DD has been fortunate to have had two paid jobs, so we've seen what it is like when you do get a callback/recall and eventually a job, but we have also seen what it is like with numerous o...
