Re: The Reunion
Did you listen to the new season of the Reunion on Sunday 7 April? It featured the actors and director of the first Dr. Who episode which went out on 23 November 1963. It was a real pleasure to hear them talk about William Hartnell (and later Patrick Troughton). Some achievement for the format to ha...

Re: is your DC affected by M25 requirement for London roles?
I find this is a really interesting subject. It doesnt particularly affect dgd because the last couple of years she has been concentrating on film and tv. (She does audition in London), but not for theatre roles. I can see how frustrating it must be for all those talented children who are arbitraril...

The Hobbit, (the musical)
With the release of Peter Jackson's film of the same name, it seems the time is right for broadcasters to do retrospective programmes on all things Middle Earth. There was a lovely piece at 11 a.m. on Radio Four this morning, about the very first production of The Hobbit, (set to specially written m...

Modelling
With the announcement that Romeo Beckham aged 10 is to model for Burberry, there has been a lot of discussion about the pros and cons of this life. Womans Hour this morning discussed it with a former child model, and other experts in the field. Some say that with Vcitoria and David's experience in t...

The Actors Gang
I heard an interesting programme on Radio Four, on Saturday 15 December 2012. When the State of California, in an effort to balance its budget had to cut back on arts programme, that great American actor Tim Robbins, (Shawshank Redemption) - the leading light of The Actors Gang, told the warden of a...

Re: Famous Five Auditions
Oh please livingthedream, don't say they'll cast adults. My dgd is 12, and passes for under 10, and would love to audition for Anne. we've been waiting ages to hear if they've set a date. As you say, its likely to be opened to Agents first. Fingers crossed everyone.

Re: Castaway Management Books are now open
Out of interest, I googled this, too. It doesn't identify who the individual agent is. Or who will be teaching drama, improv etc. Would welcome a staff list of who is involved, and their theatrical/film background, before considering registration.

Hertfordshire free Workshop opportunity
I have no personal knowledge of this course. According to the Stevenage Advertiser, Edsa Performing Arts, (spokesperson Sarah Moore) based at Hitchin College's Centre for Arts, have launched a nationwide competition to find young people between age 6-20 years "who were born to perform". En...

Re: Private Drama Tuition
Although I'm not personally affected son of pg, I feel that you obviously have to take work when its offered. In the current climate you're to be congratulated on gaining a role. So go forth and prosper, and I'm sure we'll catch up with you after the run.

Not Fifty Shades of Grey, please. I would not be entertained by sado masochism. (Or sexual slavery), even if put to music!

The Artist
Firstly, I need to digress a little. I saw Hugo when it came out, and I wondered how many of the young cinema goers could relate to the onset of moving pictures. It's difficult now to appreciate the enormous impact that early cinema had on the general public. It caused a sensation! Scorsese wanted t...

Is this the Kindle Entertainment item? I thought they were in early contractual negotiations to access the plots of Enid Blyton's book plots, for a television series. It seems a bit early for castings?

Re: cheap hotels near to pinewood studios as possible
Sorry I've no personal experience of hotels/ b and b or guest houses in the Iver Heath area (for Pinewood Studios). I imagine you've looked in the Slough area? (That's just down the road). You might try local caravan sites.
