Re: Is Olympics affecting London Auditions

Went to London for an audition a few days ago during the games, got off at Euston and the whole of the station - and the streets I went down - were eerily quiet - I've never seen London so peaceful before XD bizarre.

Re: Casting Networks

Abacus, who represent me, told me to sign up as it would make signing in for auditions easier. So I guess it's legit, and since it's free no harm done :)

Wow, this would be fantastic. What a unique opportunity! Definitely, the later in June the better for me, personally. I think a lot of us have exams May/June.

Re: Nervous Tics

I can recommend something - I find it really helps my nerves and gives me better control of my voice and my facial expressions. It's just a herbal rememdy spray for your tongue called Bach's rescue remedy. It's in a yellow bottle, just very small, and it says that it's for day time. They sell it in ...

They're mostly auditioning northerners through agents. I've had a callback so far... haven't heard since though.

Re: Making the right decision at YR8?????

If this helps, I was at private school in yrs 7 and 8 and found the work load very hard, so I left to go to the local state school so I could dedicate more time to pursuing my artistic interests, and now I've just finished my gcses, I got all As and A*s - even though the teachers failed to finish th...

Re: Chilli Kids

I know Viv Darlington, and Chilli Kids is in the NW, don't worry. It became an acting agency because you was being sent so many castings for young actors, and before she began to rep actors she used to send me some of these castings, including one for the role of Mina in Skellig (remember that film?...

Re: Looking for an agency in the North West. please help

Pemberton Associates whom I believe are in Manchester send their 2 child clients to some very exciting auditions, although they do have to travel to London for them ofc. Then again, if an agent really likes you and your look is unique they should be able to take you on from anywhere.

Re: Replies?

Hmmmn, I utterly agree with the first reply - brilliant advice. It took Abacus 6 months to reply to my application and invite me to audition, so it also depends whether the agency's books are open/they're auditioning at the time.
Good luck!

Thanks for that lovely advice daisyjane :D I can imagine they might try to cast locally, but are more likely to find the right kids from the South/that are represented - we do have a few stage coaches in Cumbria though :)

actors studio: drama summer school at pinewood studios?

Hi everyone! Just wondered if anyone might have any experience with this summer school, and what they thought of it? Any reviews would be greatly appreciated indeed! It sounds good... but I thought it might be too good to be true? lol, here is the link to the page: http://www.actorsstudio.co.uk/chil...
